That's how dealerships make money. By getting people to put cash down
It lowers the payment a little but with the cash you could of paid off more months.
Live and learn. It sucks but now it'll never happen again. They aren't called stealerships for no reason.
But enjoy the ride.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Bottom line is you got an awesome car for the next 4 years, try your best to enjoy it!

Just sayin'.
As a couple others pointed out the "rent" charge appears to be off by a factor of 10. If it was me I would educate myself about lease payments and run my own numbers or get a pro to calculate the numbers for you and and if they match, you learned a lesson. If they don't then go back to the dealer and make them rerun them.
Something makes no sense about 530 a month for 4 years to rent anything for $13,000.
Best of luck
Something is wrong with someone's numbers. It's your money for 4 years. make them explain it.
Auto Nation is a total ripoff but unfortunately they own most of the dealerships in my neighborhood.
Dont know if you can renegotiate this deal but next time you do buy or lease a car, do not give auto nation the satisfaction of your business. This is common practice among all of their dealerships.
Last time I ordered a car from A N they added on door edge guards for $295 which sell for $10 and they added $595 for paint protection, when I asked about the $595 for PP they told me that they use a special process to take the imperfections out of the paint when it arrives from the MB factory. They also tried to rip me off on their maintenance program. I got all BS charges removed and will not do business with them in the future.
Enjoy your new car and the lesson learned will save you on each and every new car you buy or lease in the future.

- buy back is $30,000 (58%)
- that leaves $21,000 (42%) to finance over 4 years
- $10,000 down payment
- that leaves you with $11,000 to finance over 4 years
- $11,000 / 48 = $230/month (at 0% interest)
- from $230/month to $530/month that you are paying is an additional $300/month
- this means that you got a 50% interest rate
- with your credit score, it's IMPOSSIBLE and ILLEGAL
I don't know how the law works in the states, but here in Canada, no institution is allowed to charge more than 17% interest rate.
Oh, and you said that you agreed on $49,000, but $30,000 + $21,000 = $51,000 which is the original price they told you. Do you have the $49,000 somewhere in writing or was it only verbal?
If I was you, I would write to Mercedes USA and make a formal complain against the dealer that gave you this "deal".
Can you look on the papers you signed and see what is the interest rate that they gave you? Because it could very well be a mistake...
There is no interest in a lease, it's a money factor and is considered to be different. They can charge more for "good faith" money.
I'm going to re-do some homework here. Almost every poster has agreed that I got ripped off (myself included). I'm going to spend the rest of tonight to run some numbers.

Thank so you so much for your added mile of help. So using your calculation of my rent charge I came up with $5,885.56, about 4k less than my current rent charge. How can this be? Did they miscalculate something?
