for example I have a 2011 loaded C350 missing only keyless go. 33 month lease w 5k down is 509/month w 12k miles, car window sticker was 51.6k your lease rate is insane especially a 4 year lease, you never want longer than 2-3 years, my 2008 was 27 months but I couldnt get lower than 33 w the 2011 early in that year. U can always get out early on a short lease OR continue 6 month extensions at the same monthly rate u know. I did that w my 2008 because my lease would have ended in oct. 2010 and I wanted teh DRLs on my new car instead of fogs so I waited a few months and got the 2011 model. I would call mercedes financial and get a bigwig on the phone. They have had super customer service w me in the past and went out of their way w all my benzes

-Sport Package w/ AMG 18 rims
-Multimedia Package
-Keyless Go
-Lighting Package
-Roof Spoiler
-3yr prepaid ($999.00, but website states $769?)
-First Class Lease Protection ($899) was this even worth it?!

Retail Price: $51,435.

Agreed on $49,043.53.

4 yr lease, 12k mileage. $10k down. Total monthly = $527.64.

My credit score is 689 and 712 from two of the credit bureaus.

I feel like I'm getting totally ripped off. Any advice and suggestions?
Slightly similar to my situation where I paid full sticker ($41636) in Oct. 2007, one year before the bottom dropped out of the car market and MBUSA and their dealers starting knocking thousands off the cars just to get rid of them. And the practice continues today because they have all those strippers, all one color with black Tex interiors which have dragged the prices of all used W204s into the basement.

Nothing you can do, it happens to mostly all of us in one time, just learn and do your homework next time before you sing any paper.

Agree with most of the posts and if possible appeal the deal. For what it's worth, I looked at a 350 over the weekend and the salesman ran some generic lease numbers and they were not good. Going forward unless someone tells me different I recommend not leasing a 350 at this time.

You never want to be cash down on a lease. COMMENT DELETED BY MODERATOR.
That's how dealerships make money. By getting people to put cash down
It lowers the payment a little but with the cash you could of paid off more months.

Live and learn. It sucks but now it'll never happen again. They aren't called stealerships for no reason.
But enjoy the ride.

Thank you. That's what I thought too. I understand putting money down if you're financing to lower the amount of your loan, but putting money down on a lease defeats the whole purpose of a lease. Crazy.

Wow that is a rough deal. I suspect a lot of it has to do with your credit score.... but look at the bright side.. over 4 years this will really help your credit.

Bottom line is you got an awesome car for the next 4 years, try your best to enjoy it!

I believe it was agreed here recently not to use the expression "retarded" here since it's insulting, demeaning and immature.

Just sayin'.

In the context he said it, it's just an "expression" and not an insult.

No need to get all worked up about it...

Just tripped over this post. My girlfriend used to work at an MB dealer doing leasing and she said these numbers make no sense.

As a couple others pointed out the "rent" charge appears to be off by a factor of 10. If it was me I would educate myself about lease payments and run my own numbers or get a pro to calculate the numbers for you and and if they match, you learned a lesson. If they don't then go back to the dealer and make them rerun them.

Something makes no sense about 530 a month for 4 years to rent anything for $13,000.

Best of luck

No, it's not "just an expression", it's inherently demeaning and insulting to people with intellectual disabilities, and it is not welcome here. It is also completely unnecessary to the point being made. Please do not repeat it.

Whenever I lease a car, I do a sign and drive. Nothing at start and I negotiate until my total payments and the residual add up to or close to list price.
Auto Nation is a total ripoff but unfortunately they own most of the dealerships in my neighborhood.
Dont know if you can renegotiate this deal but next time you do buy or lease a car, do not give auto nation the satisfaction of your business. This is common practice among all of their dealerships.
Last time I ordered a car from A N they added on door edge guards for $295 which sell for $10 and they added $595 for paint protection, when I asked about the $595 for PP they told me that they use a special process to take the imperfections out of the paint when it arrives from the MB factory. They also tried to rip me off on their maintenance program. I got all BS charges removed and will not do business with them in the future.
Enjoy your new car and the lesson learned will save you on each and every new car you buy or lease in the future.

- that leaves you with $11,000 to finance over 4 years
- $11,000 / 48 = $230/month (at 0% interest)
- from $230/month to $530/month that you are paying is an additional $300/month
- this means that you got a 50% interest rate
- with your credit score, it's IMPOSSIBLE and ILLEGAL

I don't know how the law works in the states, but here in Canada, no institution is allowed to charge more than 17% interest rate.

Oh, and you said that you agreed on $49,000, but $30,000 + $21,000 = $51,000 which is the original price they told you. Do you have the $49,000 somewhere in writing or was it only verbal?

If I was you, I would write to Mercedes USA and make a formal complain against the dealer that gave you this "deal".

Can you look on the papers you signed and see what is the interest rate that they gave you? Because it could very well be a mistake...

There is no interest in a lease, it's a money factor and is considered to be different. They can charge more for "good faith" money.

Thanks for all the help guys. It really means a lot to me that I can come to a forum and seek help and be given genuine, straight honest opinions/answers.

I'm going to re-do some homework here. Almost every poster has agreed that I got ripped off (myself included). I'm going to spend the rest of tonight to run some numbers.

Thank so you so much for your added mile of help. So using your calculation of my rent charge I came up with $5,885.56, about 4k less than my current rent charge. How can this be? Did they miscalculate something?
