Found this recall where the MB dealers replace the cam solenoids under a recall campaign under this number:

B21: MERCEDES DRIVEABILITY 2012070002 cam solenoid

Anyway get this done for free during a regular service?

had mine done with my a2 service. the car accelerates smoother and seems more sporty when mashing the pedal

There is no recall on the exterior light switch. The car was scheduled for warranty work on the exterior light switch when the service advisor mentioned about the CAM Soleniod recall campaign. She said that letters will be sent out the coming week.


Not so sure as my car was in for warranty work at 49,825 miles. Best to check with your service advisor.

I just called MBUSA and its vehicle specific. Gave them my last 8 off the VIN and no recall for my vehicle.
