All, I was the guy getting my C350 tuned yesterday. I will tell you I am extremely happy with the results. Quick off the line, mid-passing power for quick lane changes, NO THROTTLE LAG!! .... if you are like me and just want immediate throttle response with solid acceleration and mid-high range passing power, this does the trick. At $399 it's worth it.

For all who just want a little more punch this is probably the best mod for your money. Pull the trigger and do it.

The throttle lag is pretty much gone. Where I was tromping the pedal to enter traffic last week I find myself having the back off the pedal to keep from going too fast into traffic. Very pleased with this.

I guess this means the laggy performance was an ecu issue, not the tcu. I'd assume the upgrade includes:
1) remap of pedal motion vs TB opening (a bit like the SB, but better as it is designed for this car)
2) more ign advance at initial take off, and sudden acceleration
Just Curious, for those that might know :
does the shop add a mother or sister board to the ecu circut panel ?
and does this upgrade require the use of higher octane gas, or is 92 pump gas ok?
The only negative is having to send the ecu to their shop, if a dealer visit is pending, under warranty period.
If you can handle that, this is the best bang for the buck!

this sounds like exactly what I want to do for my car. and the price is right!
only problem is i can't ship off my ECU each time (from Canada).
guess i will have to hold off until this becomes available here.
thanks for all the feedback and reviews on this, really good info.

yes you can tune the lag out, but remember when MB builds a car, it has to cater to the whole world who buys the car, not just the members on the board, these cars are more luxury grocery getters or mom type cars (sorry fellas) and most of not all of that crowd will not like the touchy throttle.

If this is true I wonder if it applies to the other CGI models in other parts of the world. Unfortunately here in Hong Kong, MB isn't really MB but more of a franchise and therefore harder to deal with. I'm not even sure how I would go about explaining this to them.

Re-aligning the TB + Flash
Note the Throttle Position sensor was on the same axis as the throttle valve shaft.
Itcinf , what was the proceedure you guys used to realign the TB ??

I searched around and there is a place in Canada (Toronto) that does the ECU reflashing. Only thing is that it's almost twice the price quoted at $550.00 CAD (and likely will be plus 13% tax like all purchases here in the cold north).
Might actually be a good idea to ship ECU to the US for half the price.

Okay--several weeks into the tune and I'm still cracking a smile every time I jump on the throttle. No regrets whatsoever and highly encourage those looking for a great tune for a reasonable price--this is your solution. Off the line and passing and lane jumping in traffic--good stuff!!

I just got my c300 ECU tuned by speed tuning. Stage 2. Made no difference what so ever! They gave me some line about "it takes 2 weeks for adaptation" (I only use 93 octane). Any truth to this before I ask for my money back?
