Touch up paint or Bodyshop repair?

Hi All,

My C300's front right side bumper got scratched up. White plastic is showing in few spots. I was wondering if I would be able to fix the scrapes using touch up paint from a MB dealer or I will be better off getting the paint fixed by a auto body shop.

Obviously, it will cost me few hundred dollars if I go to a auto body shop for the repair which I am debating!

Your suggestions will be much appreciated!

Thanks!!!

P.S. Attached is a picture of the damaged side of the bumper.

Depends how picky you are honestly. I would get the entire bumper repainted personally but if it won't bother you to see it touched up then its definitely the cheaper route. I had the same type of scratches but luckily they got covered by my lip when I installed it as the were under the bumper and not on the face of it.

Touch up paint is never going to look 100% right. If it was my car I would have the bumper painted.

Do you want white scratches of scratches that match your car? They'll still be very visible if you just paint over them. 100%, get it done right.

You can't touch that up. Have it fixed properly.

Thanks for the feedback! I am getting quotes from few auto body repair shops. I will share my findings when I know more.

Cheers..

Here is a pic of the repainted bumper. Repair cost was $200.
