High wattage bulb usage
I know I've posted something similar before, but is it possible to run higher wattage than 55w and keep it safe? I've seen some harnesses out there for running higher wattage off of stock 55w connectors. Anyone have experience with that? Some people say running up to 65w on stock connectors is safe. But I'm talking 75-85 watt. I was even looking at a 100watt but I think that will be too much even for a harness.

Honestly, if you are looking for something that is brighter and you have halogens, then you should make the move to an HID kit. That will have a lower draw on your system and produce more light.
As far as the higher wattage halogen route, I've never pursued that.

The problem being that there aren't too many kits out there for facelifted models. And with those few, none have been 100% confirmed. So I was just wondering if there was a way to run high wattage and be safe while doing so.

Higher wattage bulbs with have the risk of damaging the stock wire harness. FYI- this harness runs all the way back to the SAM in the trunk and costs over $1000 to replace if damaged.
I have had issues with 55w standard bulbs melting the casing on the harness due to the harness touching the back of the reflector. I can't imagine what 100w bulbs would do.
have you contacted Mike at AZNOptics regarding the kit for your car? Great guy and quality products.

Also, the HID kits are pretty much universal. As long as they offer your bulb size, it is pretty much guaranteed to fit your vehicle. I mean if your lawnmower had a light you could most likely put a kit on there. As they said AznOptics is an option, he is very active in this forum. I have personally used kits from DDM Tuning for years. Put them on a Camry, Tundra, Rav4 and C300; all with great results. Plus the DDM kit comes with a lifetime warranty and is $35 I believe. Worth a shot for that price IMO.

You may get yourself in trouble. I wouldn't put higher wattage than 55W. If it was possible, Mercedes would state that you could put 45-75W bulbs.
HID packages are a better option, apart from that they are much brighter than any bulbs.

I've been looking into these. They offer a wide range of color temps. And they guarantee fit for facelift models.
