Can fat guy ruin your car?

Not trying to hate on the big guys/gal out there (I am 6'2 200lbs), but I was wondering if a very large person lets say 300 pounds plus can cause any damage to the vehicle in terms of vehicle suspension and seats. I have earlier posted complaint of the c300 seats saying it seems to be inadequately padded. Now I think most likely the seats lost its padding is due to a previous overweight owner. Also, I noticed on the bottom of the steering there were scratch marks on it, so I think maybe the large owner had to squeeze himself into the seats and probably his belt buckle kept rubbing against the bottom part of the steering causing the marks. What else damage do you think a fat guy can cause

Haha!! Interesting post. I would say your suspension is fine considering you have more than 300lbs in the car if you had a passenger or two with you often. The seat can definitely deteriorate with a large person constantly sliding in and out of the car. If the car is still under warranty I'd take it to the dealer and see if they are willing to put a new seat in. I noticed my drivers seat is starting to tear on the front of the seat bottom and they are putting a whole new seat in my car on Monday. You'll never know if you don't ask! Good luck

nope not under warranty. Do you know how much it would cost to replace the seat? But I am a little worried that the brand new seat will stand out to remaining aged interior. I am thinking bout getting the seat padding replaced rather than the whole seat. Has anyone done this before?

Suspension should be ok as long as he didnt bring his other fat friends with him and always went over max gross weight. The side bolsters and bottom pads will be flatter than normal...Id opt for a new seat.

lol, yeah I hope he did not bring his fat friends with him..good news is the rear seats seem practically new and the passenger seat is ok but its the drivers seat that seems bad . Any idea how much new driver seat wil cost?

As a Fat Guy- I hope he ate lots of food in your car and farted often. I also hope he used the heated seats and let Fat Guy butt juices soak into the seat.
Maybe it was a short, skinny person who moved the seat forward to reach the pedals?
I don't trust skinny people- they are always hungry.

They should put a weight sensor on these cars and will yell out loud "you are advised to step out of the car as excessive vehicle wear and tear or possible damage will be done because of observed weight of user or we advise you strongly to consider a bigger car like the GL class"

Now dont be mad at me as i respect the healtheir folks but sometimes it is so wrong to see a very big person trying his best to fit on a small car.

Did you not even consider that maybe 2 person doing a lot of naughty things made that seat flat and steering wheel scratched....just a thought.
