C300 Lighting help!!!

I have an 08 c300 and ive never had a problem with the lights till now. The whole passenger rear doesnt work which i found extremely weird as the whole unit doesnt work plus now the passenger side low beam also doesnt work. I doubt its the bulb as every light doesnt work, would anyone suggest anything to help and resolve my problem. Greatly appreciated in advance.

Have you checked the fuse? Is there any melting on the wiring harness for the taillight?

Does STAR also run tests of the lighting system? If so, perhaps it would be practical to get MB service to look at the problem. There are many electronic "modules", problems with the taillight module in particular comes to mind, and their failure is difficult to analyze, also expensive to replace.

Quick question, what do you mean by STAR?

Mercedes Benz' trademarked name for its computer diagnostic and information system. All service is (or should be) performed after STAR registers condition and error codes found. All service procedures are accessible to mechanics and service personnel through STAR.

If you take your W204 to an MB dealer for service, and their first action does NOT hook up the STAR system to your Merc, then go look for a better MB service department, period.

Whole entire passenger rear sounds like a melted harness. Undo the cover in trunk where the tail lights are tucked away and take a peek at the harness...
