High Mileage 2008 C300
Hi All
I was a C230 owner a few years ago and enjoyed the car a great deal and really have kicked myself for trading it in for Jeep Wrangler.
Anyway I want to get back into a MB C300. I found one with very high milage 97000 mainly highway and $13500. This car would get me back into the MB and have fun and have ultra low payments and not worry about milage till the new C-Class shape comes out and is tested for the first year in 2014/15.
Good or bad idea

The motor is very solid. But, I would be weary of someone not maintaining properly and need all service records. 4Matic is a little more prone to things going wrong.

I don't think that is particularly high mileage? Saw a 2008 w204 C350 the other day with 360k km (about 224k miles) on the clock. Owner told me that he has had no major repair bills on it.
Have the car properly checked out and you should have many more happy miles!

Sounds like a bargain. Much depends on how the former owner drove and serviced the W204, if all records are there, should be OK. Have a V12 with 110k, and frankly the engine is "just getting broken in", some cars can have surprisingly long, service free lives.
