Hesitation on turning over

Recently purchased a 09 C350 just got my car out of the dealer last week to replace my fog light and my washer connection was bad.

Over the past few days I have noticed my car hesitate when i turn on the car in the morning or after it is been sitting awhile. The light on the dash will dim temporarily and then it will turn over. When but if after it has started or been driven for a min or two it turns over immediately. Think this is a batter issue?

Also a few times over the past month there has been the issue of I will insert the keyfob and the steering will wont unlock and wont turn on at all but if i pull the key out and try again a few times it will work fine. Not sure if they are related in any way.

Well the car wouldnt turn over at all earlier tonight so I called roadside assistance they came out and jumped it the alternator and battery tested good but slightly low voltage on the battery. I let it run for 30 mins to charge.

Hopefully it is was just a low battery since i take a lot of short trips to and from work of about a mile but if it is a failing ignition i guess it will be their issue since i still have factory warranty for another couple months and then extended warranty until 2016.

Probably a low battery, the W204 is particularly sensitive to voltage. If there is a weak cell, you may get just 10 volts instead of the standard 14.4 v. Replacing the battery should fix the problem.

It wound up not starting again later in the night and roadside assistance came out again and replaced the battery under warranty. They provided great service.

Hopefully this will truly fix the problem and not just mask it for awhile.
