C250 speed limiter

Drove my car for the first time to nevada las vegas. I hit 100 mph on freeway highway 5 at 2am in the morning and freeway empty so i tried to see how fast can it go. Suddenly engine stalled and speed went back down to 70mph going up hill. It seem like the car would not go any faster. So i immediately stopped at the next exit to check if anything wrong with engine or transmission and seemed to be okay.

So i continued driving and this time i just maintained 75mph.

Anyone experience this to any of mercedes? This my first mb, am used to my car going going a little over 100 mph at empty road. I dont speed when i see cars or light around. FyI am a responsible driver never had a ticket my entire life. Just got carried out on this one.

Sounds like you hit the "overboost" which cuts out the pressure being generated by the turbo.

When you pulled over, did you shut off the car and restart? If so, you reset the boost controller and were back to normal.
