Cracks in headlights?

Cracks in headlights?
I have a 2009 c300 about 51,000km on it. After washing my cars today I found a couple cracks about a inch on each side of my headlights. What could be the cause of this? And will there be any safety issue in the long run?

Are you sure they are cracks? These headlights have lines etched into the plastic that are very similar to cracks for headlight cutoff

I double checked today, they were not cracks... They looked very close to it tho

i thought that too when I looked at my car, but then I saw it was the exact same design in the other one. I realized it's by design.
