Performance chips, ECU remapping

Hi, I am looking to improve the performance of my C250 CDI (specifically the 0-100 Kmph acceleration times). Would the mod chips available in the market help? What are the "good" ones ? Would appreciate any input.

Well the big ones would be Kleeman, Carlsson, Brabus. Those are the brand names best associated with Benz performance. Then you have alot of smaller companies that make piggyback units or signal interceptor units that aren't full tunes. Considering you have a CDI I'm assuming you're located most likely in Europe? If that's the case then best you try to find a local Benz group and see what tuners they are using as to best optimize your set up and surroundings.

And those chips, advertised in that link, work for what is stated?!

Or do they damage the car engine?!

It's a signal interceptor, I don't know about that particular brand but most will just advance your timing and add more fuel.

Mercedes C320 Avantgarde
Has anyone here tried this type of performance chip? I came across one (not specifically for diesel engines like the one in the link shared by Big Daddy) a few days ago here: http://www.engineperformancechip.com...or-control-p-6 and have been trying to hear from someone for whom it had actually worked... My car's a c320 avantgarde.. Do these signal interceptors work?

Well I personally run a TMC tuning box and have noticed an improvement but have yet had the chance to actually dyno my car. Some others run the BMS box.
