The last serveral days I've noticed my engine cranking pretty slow to start after being idle for several hours. This morning there just wasn't enough power to start the engine. I made an appointment with my dealer but the lady that set the appointment didn't know if the battery was covered under factory warranty. Does anyone know for sure? Thanks!

battery manufacturers usually give a pro rata warranty for up to 3 years on a new battery how old is yours?
my car was excluded on my MB warranty
remember do not try to jump start or charge the old one while still fitted to your car. It will cause a lot of grief. has it been cold lately where you live?
lots of short trips. Could even be a solenoid problem

Mine was covered; I had it replaced by roadside assistance over 2 years after buying the car Hope yours is too, good luck!
