2013 Owners - Bluetooth audio question with multimedia package
I've got a 2012 C300 with the S32 launch package multimedia setup (7" nav screen, etc.), and have a question regarding Bluetooth audio streaming and track time display on the 2013's.
While my car was in for its first "A" service, I drove a 2013 C300 as a loaner for the day and noticed that I could see where I was in a given track while streaming music to the unit from my iPhone 5. This is something that my car doesn't do, at least not from Bluetooth (it works for all my wired devices, like it should). I can see the artist and song title info, but the progress bar remains empty. The loaner was pretty base, so it only had the stock audio setup with the 5" display, so I don't know if this is specific to that particular radio.
Does the Premium audio setup in the 2013's show updates to the progress bar for Bluetooth? And, if so, is that a hardware or software change? That is, would a software update make it work for my system?
Sometime I'll stream podcasts but the text reads song information. I just try to ignore it as long as it's playing what I want it to play.
I have a 2012 c250 with nav and have been wondering this same thing.
Anyone know why the 2012's don't display the track time while using bluetooth audio? Is there a setting we can change to enable this?
