Lumbar Adjustment Button

Just got 2010 C300 Sport and there is a lumbar adjustment button with four arrows on the base of the driver's seat that is not noted in the manual. I have adjusted this thing a million ways and cannot figure out definitively what each arrow is supposed to do. I assume up/down arrows move the lumbar "bulge" up or down, and in/out deflates/inflates said "bulge." But it does not feel like they are doing that! In fact, it feels like the "balloons" are changing size as I drive. I called MB Customer Service and they did not have instructions to e-mail me, they are looking into it! I brought it into the dealership and they think something might not be deflating properly but still could not tell me exactly what everything is supposed to do. So, until I know I am using a $10 lumbar cushion in my sweet ride with the 10+ way adjustable seat, which has made me the object of mockery amongst all my friends. Any insights would be much appreciated.

The manuals are posted on mbusa.com - but here you go.

Edit: I see what you are saying now... they omitted it - hilarious!

In the cars with P1, there is a 4 way rocker switch on the side of the driver's seat.

Pushing towards the rear of the car deflates the bladders, pushing towards the front of the car inflates mid back, pushing the bottom of the switch inflates lower back, and the top inflates the upper back.

Not my car, but here is the button:

Me too have that button and hardly use it after i adjust it once
i also drives a c250 cgi 2011 luxury model.
you need press the button for about few seconds to actually feel it's working.
and you will feel it most when you sitting at the driver side when adjust.
in Malaysia only luxury model carries this.

Thanks! I could not post a pic because car with dealer. But I definitely have over or underactive bladders. The three separate switches on other models seem to be better. Darn.

The only models I know of with 3 switches are the C63 and the multicontour seats not available on the C in the US.

These aren't designed to change the shape of the seat or massage/move - they are designed to modify the pressure points. If you are changing shape, it sounds like a bladder is leaking down.
