Changed engine air filters....

Now I have a check engine light. I knew this could happen.

How do I get rid of the check engine light? I made sure the intakes were on correctly and the cover was on correctly. All looks good.

If searched this forum and the internet and cant seem to find any info.

Mark

Make sure the back of the cover where the throttle body meets is pressed down all the way. It almost pops into place.

+1 re check everything, not having the air boxes properly seat in its orignal configuration will throw a light

Hopefully. The airbox assembly/throttle body seal is usually the problem.

That does seem to be the one area where everything can look good but just not be "snapped" completely into place.

Make sure the hose on the front is reconnected. When you reinstall the airbox assembly- start in the rear middle where the throttle body intake is. Set that first and then work your way forward. All other clips are simple retaining clips. The important thing is that the assembly is firmly set in to the throttle body.

if the error light is on. before its off, go to settings and set to factory settings turn car off and back on, if everything is how its supposed to be it should go off. Just trying to fix it won't turn off the light even if its how its supposed to be , system has to update it . hope it helps
