I was finally able to see what it is that you are doing. Do the 2012's actually have something like that? Not sure of you posted a comparison model that you are trying to emulate. I was only able to see some of the pics not all.

While I'm all for modding and making our cars look more aggressive this isn't really going to work well because you are covering one of the eyebrow bulbs. You'll still get some of the light coming out from underneath the eyelid and I think it's going to look odd. Just my opinion.

Just sprayed on some primer and base coat. Looks like the color matched really well, just need some clear and it should look good. Time for clear, gonna need like 3 coats of it.

None taken, but I think people on this forum needs to stop putting Mercedes on a pedestal though. It's still just a car, and as a tuner, there's nothing wrong with modding it to fit your taste. Sorry that I am not buying OEM parts to get people's approval. Every other car on this forum has the same kind of mods, it gets boring. You guys are already judging a mod before you see the end result. All I can say is, just let me post my progress and then when it's finalize, you can critique all you want.
I apologize if i jumped the gun on my assessment, I'll stand by for the finished product.
However, in the end, to each his own. If you like it, god bless you. I just don't think its for me.

S'all good, I just wanted people to see the end result before bashing it based on iphone photos and just pix of it placed on the car with masking tape, not even properly fitted. Either way, I know some people hates the way the 2012+ C300 headlight looks, so they're going to hate this mod no matter what. It's really just personal preference, so personally, I think that once it's welded to the hood and repainted, it'll be pretty dope.

Thank you dude. That's exactly what I am planning on doing, this is actually just the mock-up phase. These are only temporary, I am making it in order to see how it'll look with colors matched and everything. I am still working on getting the right shape to flow with the headlights, the hood, and where it meets up to the center grill. I already re-did the eye brows from what I've posted. I will post more updates after I paint it again.

Oh dayum! I like what he did to his headlights. Very clean. Those eyebrows are dope too, I've never seen those before. I would probably get those if I wasn't doing something different. For what I am doing though, it won't be an eyebrow after I am done. It'll be part of the hood. Wonder if I can find more pictures of that eyebrow, the lines are a little too sharp IMO, mimics more of the SL headlights as opposed to the 2012+ W204s.

I am doing eyebrows as well in vinyl, I am not going to try and mimic the 2012 lights but rather follow the contour where the embedded chrome strip is in the 08 lights, that should give it a sleek narrow look. I reckon it will look great, will post pics when done.

OK. I finally have been able to google and see all the hoopla over the 2012 headlights. I think ours, '08-'11, look a lot cleaner and better, especially if you have nice bright LED's as the eyebrow lights!
