Spotify, Bluetooth Streaming, Comand Update???
Hi, this is my first post. I bought a CPO in Dec 2012, it's a 2010 C300 Luxury. I have some questions with my COMAND system.
1. I cannot get it to pair with my contacts in my phone, I have a Samsung Galaxy S3. The Bluetooth to take calls works fine, just the contacts won't show up.
2. MUSIC! Grr...very frustrated. I use Spotify via my phone and I have it connected via AUX. I can only control the playlist thur the phone, and cannot see the playlist on the navigation monitor.
3. I bought a iPod Touch (4th gen) hoping Spotify would work when connected to the iPod port...it didn't. I bought new iPod since my old one worked so well when in iPod mode, and the sound quality is so much better than AUX.
4. Is there a way to stream Spotify, or Pandora applications via Bluetooth, with the info appearing on the navigation?
Is there a way to get Spotify to play and be able to be controlled on the navigation screen? How do I find out the latest update available for the Comand system? Do I need an update?
Thanks All

Have too have a 2010 C350 Sport. I also have the Samsung Galaxy S3 and my contacts wouldn't load either. I just manually entered the important contacts into the command systems.

I just loaded contacts from S3 to 2013 C300. Not sure if your version is the same, but once you select Load Contacts from COMAN, look at S3 - it gives you a notification that MB connection has requested Contact list access. You need to Allow it. I could not do it before it timed out, so I Allowed and check "do not ask me again" box. Worked perfectly the next time I requests COMAN to load the contacts.
AUX interface is a simple audio connection as far as I know. The protocol does not allow for more than basic functionality there.

It stands for Media Interface Plus. http://www.mbusa.com/vcm/MB/DigitalA...AQs_v5_MIP.pdf
I've read about it, and it seems like it doesn't work well.

Thanks all for you help! I'd due for my first service soon, hopefully they can give me some info in how to get around this, or at least tell me if I have the latest update on my COMAND system.
Take Care!
