Need 1 4MATIC & 1 RWD FR SPRING, OLD C300
There are lots of suspension options for rwd C300 3L models. But for the
4MATIC, only H&R carries 1.6" drop springs specifically for the 4MATIC, and NO VENDOR carries shock sets for the dropped suspension ( I did ask Koni if they would make it ).
Based on some research, the 4MATIC uses a different front strut body with different lower mounts, and the spring is also different. All this to make room for the front half shafts / axles.
I could compare the oem springs, and calculate the spring rates and measure the free length, to see how different they are, and if spacers could be used up front on an AWD to allow aftermarket springs for rwd to be used.
Just looking for ppeople with oem springs laying around to ship me one from each drive system.
