Kappa Complete Audio upgrade
Acapulco Bill - I remember reading you had a little bit of vibration after long use of your bass set-up in the trunk. Would you think creating a sealed enclosure in the trunk - but porting the enclosure through the rear "dashboard" into the cabin would eliminate vibration? Please excuse my terminology, hope I am making sense.
Thanks,
Troy
In a previous lifetime for mechanical and electric typewriters they used to sell these dense spongy rubber noise-absorbing pads about 1/4 inch thick. That would be the ideal material to sandwich in between the rear shelf or the rear seat backing and the sub. Regular foam rubber wont hack it as it compresses and deteriorates. If I find the ideal material in amazon or Ebay I will send a link.
For the moment the subwoofer rattle has stopped, maybe its seasonal or I am just not turning up the volume. My Ford is just SO much quieter, but maybe thats subjective, one would need to use a SPL meter and drive at the same speed over the same (rough) road.
