Transmission Flush
Is it required? what are the benefits from having it done? My C300 is at 56K miles now, what else do you guys suggest to get done at this mileage?
The rear break pads are at 8 mm, when should I have them replaced?

I think it is every 40 k miles, but best to be sure and use the search function on the whole W204 thread.
Go "advanced" and put "Glyn Ruck" as the author. Key words are [ transmission oil change torque converter ]

It is required every 40K miles. The benefit is that your trans won't die before you hit 100K miles.
When you get it done, make sure it's done correctly. This means draining the fluid not only from the trans itself but also from the torque converter area. Sadly, most dealers in the US only do half the job. It's covered in detail by one of the sticky threads on this forum. You might want to check it out.

The MBUSA dealers from everything I have heard/read absolutely do not drain the torque converter. This is a big mistake.
You need to get all the old fluid out and all new fluid in. My new-to-me 2011 C300 has just 11,800 miles but when it gets to 39,000 I will have it done properly. It is worth the extra expense for the peace of mind.
