Cleaning Interior
What do people use to clean interior? I used a Meguiar's Leather Cleaner/Conditioner, but it leaves the seats a bit greasy. Does anyone have a better solution?
I've been using Meguairs VLR (Vinyl, Leather, Rubber) for the seats and dash, then a quick treatment with Aerospace 303 protectant for a nice matte sheen and UV protection. My car is 2 years old now and the inside still looks like brand new. UV light is the biggest threat to the condition of the interior.
I always like using 1z Einszett deep vinyl and plastic cleaner for my interior.
It removes all types of dirt, stains and odours and leaves behind a residue-free matte finish and has a very pleasant light scent.
For regular cleaning I always found a microfiber cloth and light solution of Murphy's Oil Soap and warm water works very well.

I've started using GoCleanWaterless Interior (http://www.gocleanwaterless.com/prod...leaner/#subNav). Does the job and it can be used just about anywhere in the interior (including the carpet). Smells great too!

Here's a quote from the W212 Owner's Manual:
"Do not use microfibre cloths to clean genuine leather, artificial leather or DINAMICA covers. If used often, these can damage the cover."
I don't know why microfiber is banned, but I always follow MB's recommendations.

Don

No complaints about it, works as it should and leaves a nice smell. There's been no residue. It does recommend to spray directly on the interior but I've always been against that and spray onto a cloth instead.
For the price I recommend you give it a shot. Even if you don't like it, it makes a very good window cleaner (as the bottle suggests).

I swear by the Griot's Garage products, personally.
I keep one of the Boar's Hair Detailing brushes in the glovebox - it is great for cleaning out creases in seats, vents, and general sprucing up of the interior.
Their Interior Cleaner is great for MB-Tex. I have Ash, which requires an absurd amount of upkeep - particularly if you wear blue jeans. Their cleaner works well for pulling dye off of the seats, shining up the aluminum, etc.

I use all of their towels because they are the softest I have ever used and they can be washed in your washing machine and are like new but don't use fabric softener or dryer sheets! You can buy Griots products at Advance Autoparts too, they carry a limited selection but they do carry the interior cleaner. I use many other Griots products too like their foaming window cleaner in a can which works better than the bottle of liquid in that link.
However, you can get from the Chantilly dealer on eBay for less.
I believe its the same one my CPO dealer used when they go through all their checks to certified and clean the interior and make it smell nice and new again!
I don't use the full kit just the Interior cleaner spray but here is the link from their site if you want the entire kit

I'd guess it doesn't hurt to switch to regular terry cloth.
I have a hunch why microfiber might cause an issue. MB-tex by design has thousands of tiny holes in it if you look closely. Microfiber might get caught in these little holes and tear on them, causing small rips and tears which would get worse if repeated over time. Cotton terry cloth fibers (and our clothing) are bigger fibers and don't get caught. Just my theory...

The Griot products are all great, but if you don't want to wait for shipment try this:
At my local car shop, O'Reilly's, I purchased ICE Premium Care Interior Cleaner and Protectant (a premium Turtle Wax product) as recommended by the mgr over several other products. Priced a bit higher at $10+. I used it today on the dash, doors and MB Tex seats. I highly recommend it. Leaves a matte, non slick finish that give the UV protection I wanted for the TX sun. Great on the seats- no sliding around. Nice clean aroma and should be easy to find in stores.

Recently buy Meguairs VLR sprays for the seats and dash board and you don't believe it gives me better response then other products which i used in past.
If it not works then i definitely go for some commercial carpet cleaning company.
