No power will hitting gaz ? Weird Problem
Hi All,
I did search on the forum to see if someone else had the same problem, but only found lag transmission stuff..
Here is my story
When i drive at 100 Km/h and try to go up to 120 , the car react pretty slowly ,
even if i push harder on the pedal gaz the car wont go up. So then i try to push it to the floor and still have no power but the car downshift and rev High, but still going at the same speed.
Another thing , since last week after i did a stop i can't increase my speed after , even to 30 km/h , i still have no power like i am running a 49cc 2 stroke scooter in a plane...
I have No Code, No cel , Nothing...
Got the car for less then 30 days, this start to make me regret my purchase.
I already go to 2 Mercedes Dealership and 1 local Garage. They don't know the problem..
What you guys think ?
Spark plug issue ?
Timing issue ?
Transmission slipping ?
Engine problem ?
Thanks for your help

Maybe try this it will reset accelerator pedal calibration:
Steps to Reset the TCU. Resetting the TCU will reset transmission to factory shift points and the car will 'relearn' your driving style.
(1.) Turn the ignition key to the on (not start) position.
(2.) Press the gas pedal to the floor and hold for five seconds.
(3.) Turn the key to the "off" position (don't remove the key), then release the gas pedal.
(4.) Wait at least two minutes for TCU to reset.

I'm on the mobile website so I can't see what model car you have. If you've got one of the Turbo models then it may be a Turbo issue, if its 300+ then have you checked your air filter? This may also be something stupid but have you accidentally set the speed limiter?

Crankshaft position sensor. Bad hesitation is sometimes caused by a failing CPS, though more commonly you have things like no-start conditions and engine stalling. Still it is worth a look since it won't always trip a CEL and you have eliminated other possibilities.

If the CPS have a faillure , check engine should Come on right away , no ? . I was maybe thinking the Gaz filter is bad or Catalyst are full and circulation is not good ..

There should be a small stalk above the signal stalk. As for the CPS, I'm pretty sure the check engine light will come on if its failing. Have you taken the car to the dealer yet?

On the cruise control stalk, if you push it in, there's a light that comes on, its marked LIM. I assumed its a limiting function for the speed. Our e60 BMW has that function where you can set a speed limit and the car won't go past it no matter what.

@sege: Your post started stating correctly that the procedure was an accelerator calibration reset. But immediately the instructions say it is a TCU reset.
THIS IS NOT A TCU RESET !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Merely recalibrates the accelerator. Prefer to do the pedal depress half-way down not all the way down.
@neonmods: what year is your C350? There are two different engines, the M272 and the M276, with their seperate systems and problems. Could be the TCU has not had its software upgrade, free at MB dealers MY 2008-2010. That may solve the problem.
