No Rear Lights, Navigation/Radio Shuts down-Error Messages-Female who is Vunerable
So about a week ago my car started to do crazy stuff-
I was getting error messages on my dash that said My Rear Parking Lights were not working, then my Navigation/Radio Screen Closes on its own, then the lights came on saying my airbags werent working, then error message on dash saying my front lights werent working.
My Mechanic says its a Rear Body Control Module that needs to be replaced-and the part alone is $800 and $400 to reprogram it!!
I am so frustrated that my supposedly Reliable car-has done this **** to me!!
I dont want to spend that kinda money on my C-Class!!
Anyone have any advice? Insight? Help?
It would be very much appreciated
I always feel like someone is trying to take advantage of me as a young female in NYC.

I too had a light saying my airbags were malfunctioned.
I had warranty though still, and the problem was the electronics died on me and replaced free of charge.

What year is your vehicle? If it's past the 4 year mark (or maybe seldom driven), a weakening battery may cause a lot of intermittent/random issues. You can have the battery tested to see if it's still holding a charge well.
If it's still under warranty (or at the very least you get free diagnostic), see what another dealer has to say without mentioning what the 1st said (or that you've ever brought it in). Or if not under warranty anymore I'd stay clear of dealers and find a reputable independent shop specializing in german/european vehicles.
