Hello- I'm new to MBWorld and I'm hoping someone can help me. Occasionally my navigation screen does not come on when I start the car. The entire screen is dark. The radio works so does Bluetooth. The back up camera does not display. When I turn the car off and let it sit a while then re-start it the system turns on and all is normal. This has happened twice. The dealer said they can't find the cause because they can't duplicate it. Any thoughts? Thanks

 

That's one of the most frustrating things about car repair... the car never misbehaves when the shop is looking at it. Your only option is to wait for the issue to get worse or when this happens next time, just drive straight to the dealer to let them see it with their own eyes.

 

When it starts doing it, get video of it. Make sure you state the time and date and demonstrate the problem.

They were able to diagnose/repair a backup camera issue I was having based on the videos. Don't accept "could not duplicate" as a diagnosis once you have it on video.
