09' w204 side mirrors for >10' ?

Just wondering if there's some way to convert the big side mirrors i have on my 09 c350 to the newer 2010 models and beyond.

Is the only way purchasing the face lifted ones?

Basically, you have 2 options:
1. buy OEM 2010+ mirrors ($$$$$)
2. buy 2010+ style mirror covers (~$150 on eBay). You get the same "look" as the 2010+ but the mirror size will remain "big". This is the option I chose due to cost and I am very pleased with how it came out.

Do you mid posting a picture of your mirror covers?
It seems like a nice addition that I could add.

Side note: Nice mods that you have added/done all over your car.

It's worth spending 150$ instead of buying a whole new set for around 500$

They're usually more, but I'm just saying it's a nice addition i could add to my car that does not really put a hole in my wallet.

Thanks for you opinion though.

If u want to send the $300+ difference to me and the others who have chosen to go this route, by all means I will gladly accept and go OEM.

One is not better looking than the other...just different. From a value perspective, I think someone would have to pay me to give up the mirror surface size.

Sportstick has a valid point. I find the new oem side mirrors to be slightly too small.

My car is Iridium silver.

These look like the same color, but they don't say exactly if it's the same shade.

I would email the seller and ask what color code they are painted with and see if it matches yours. That's what I did and I found out that the color code used on the covers was identical to that of my car.

I bought mine from seller: jakou from 55 Tech

How does this whole thing work though?
I don't really understand how you could make it look like that.
Meaning...how does it make it look forked, when the original is a big piece of plastic with bulbs inside.

It's a completely different piece. You remove the existing "cover" and install the new one. That simple. There are 2 pieces, the upper, painted, piece and the black lower piece that need to be removed and then you will be left with the guts of mirror. Then you just install the new covers.
