Broken Valve Stem Bolt

Washed my car today and noticed that there is a linear fracture through the bolt of my Valve stem. Its not the valve stem itself but rather what I think is called the Union Bolt.

1. How easy is this to replace, do I need to replace the whole TPMS sensor?

2. Will it be covered under the extended warranty

3. How urgent of an issue is this? I plan to take my car in for service in about 2 months. Is it a significant safety Hazard?

Thanks

You can buy a sevice kit for tpmsdirect.com that has a new bolt in it. I've dealt with th and service was great.

It's very easy to replace, just air out your tire, unscrew the old one and screw in the new one. Add air and you are done. No need to replace the entire sensor. As long as you aren't loosing tire pressure it should be ok. I wouldn't let it go for long though as the crack could get worse.

Great thanks for your help. I assume I just have to unmount the wheel and deflate the tire? I wont need to have the tire remounted right/

Think this would be covered under extended warranty

Correct, no need to unmount the tire.
It very well may be covered by the extended warranty, I can't say for certain though.

A bolt? There is a fixing nut on the outside which holds the unit in position against the rubber seal inside but no bolts are used. You might be able to find a new nut. The website quoted earlier in post #2 shows no nuts in the repair kit
