Updated my post. Now you can compare. I think it's a huge step.

You won't get an error code but this will definitely void the warranty

nice. so from what i have been reading it seems like the 2nd cat delete might not even be a true cat at all and will not hurt anything. if i do encounter any engine/exhaust issues and bring it in under factory warranty with the 2nd cat welded back in, do you think they'll give me hassle when they see it was once removed?

This depends on the relationship you have with your SA/dealer

This is completely not true. I have an X-Pipe and 2nd cats deleted, and last Friday I went to the dealer to do my Service A. I asked about my warranty due to my numerous modifications and they said that nothing that I've done has affected my warranty. They even took the time to compliment all the work done on the car and asked to take some pictures to put in the waiting room.

Dealers in Canada is nothing like MBUSA, just double check with your dealer before you do it. Save you all that trouble.

Here you go
https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...-complete.html

imo this is one of the harder mods. OEM parts is about $700 and requires to take the front bumper off, cutting the bumper, and electrical wiring.

You will hear a nice induction/engine sound around 3500-5000 rpm. Below 3500 is very quite

I attempted to remove my 2nd cats yesterday but the shop told me that it is illegal.... and that they can't do it.
