2011 C300 Question

Recently upgraded from an 08 sport to a 2011 c300 sport 4mattic.

The car came with navi, dvd, sat , command etc. The MM package along with rear view camera , but no HK.

I've noticed that there is a lot of distortion if you turn the volume all the way up on ipod/Aux mode either when my ipod is plugged in or im streaming pandora through the aux cord and when the bass hits it distorts like crazy.

I took it to the dealer and they just told me to turn the volume down on the ipod/aux phone device. Is this normal? In my 08 i never had this issue and the car didn't even have command just an ipod integration kit with factory aux input.

Also, I hate using the AUX cord to stream pandora through my phone, I've read somewhere there is a software update to give a Bluetooth Audio option on the audio menu screen. Is this true? Should my car have not come with it already with the MM package?

Car is 14k miles.

Can anyone chime in ?

The stock stereo is unfortunately not that great. You have the ipod integration, did I read that right? If so I have no issues with mine. No distortion. It's just not that powerful.

I had a loaner 2013 C250 with bluetooth audio and I really enjoyed that. But I don't think it is possible to simply update software to have it in a 2011 (though that would be nice).
