Best way to level set maintenance on new to me car

What's the best way to level set the maintenance reminder system on a "new to me" car? Car says 350 days until B service, but who's to say that's accurate? Is there a way to level set that or is it just based on time and mileage since the car was new? If that's the case then I guess the best way to level set is to just repeat whatever the previous service should have been and then when the next scheduled service shows up just start performing it according to the schedule.

From the service indicator, it seems like someone just serviced the car. Is there anyone you can speak with to confirm what was done, other than just doing a service reset?
I have never followed the car's service indicator as I strictly follow the owner's manual...although I tend to almost double up on the oil changes as I plan on keeping the car for a good long time.
