Lowering springs vs warranty

Hi all, I'm a newbie here.

Read a lot here about mods and know-hows and being envious of cars owned by other members. This makes me want to mod mine as well ,the thing caught my eyes is the lowering springs .However, mine is still under warranty which I don't want it voided, would I loss my warranty after I swap my springs?

What's more, in the states, cars are sold by Benz themselves directly as far as I know, but in Hong Kong, they are sold through a third party that terms and conditions regarding warranty may not be the same, anyone in hk with their springs done can also give me a heads-up?

Thanks much for replies

I fitted H&R springs on my previous 204 and after around 5000Km I got problems with the front shocks, they would knock when driving onto manhole covers etc.
Replaced them by new ones under warranty and they started knocking after just about the same mileage.

My new car was fitted with H&R.s the day it arrived, this time the front shocks lasted 3000Km, I replaced them with C63 shocks under warranty which worked perfectly as the stock C63 shock is lower and adapted for a lower vehicle.

As long as you have good relations with your dealer I dont see any problems regarding future warranty claims.

I see your point, but our dealer here is quite... annoying that they may not be as nice. But I'm shocked that how little the stock shocks last with those springs (BTW, you got sports or supersport ones? ),I was hoping for 50k+km...

Did you source the c63 shocks yourself? And you did checkups and repairs with stock springs swapped back, right?

Thanks again.

As I work as a Tech at a dealership I was able to order the C63 shocks and then file the claim for a regular pair, the cost of the shocks were funny enough identical.

Dont know what kind of springs I had as they arnt labled sport or supersport here.
