Ouch! Curb Rash!
I have had my new rims for a month and for the first time ever, I hit a curb. Doesn't look real bad, but it's really bothering me...so much so that I just went out in pouring rain to take this picture. Do you think I can repair it on the car using a Dremel tool? The edge is machined. I can't believe I did this? I just couldn't get out of the car to look at it.

My wife just curbed her 4 month old VW GTI with similar damage to yours.A shop machined them smooth, clear coated them and they look as new.Took a week and about $200 or so.Bugger...

I had an inch long scratch. A mobile wheel polish service fixed it really well. Polished and clear coated it. I can't tell where it was at all. Cost is $85/wheel for a reasonable length of scratch. They say if it's really bad it'll be like $125/wheel.

I would call a wheel repair shop. You could try to fix it yourself with very fine 2000 grit sandpaper or a dremel like you said but you risk damaging it more or if it comes out fine you will have to find a way to clear coat it aswell or they will start to oxidize in that area.
How deep is the rash?

Thanks everyone. The gash is pretty deep and probably needs professional repair. They are not expensive wheels though. I think I'll just try to live with it.
