"Auto" Sunroof?
Yesterday after the car parked a few hours under the hot sun, I rolled down all windows, opened the sunroof, started engine and turned on A/C to blow out the hot air. then I tapped the sunroof switch to let it auto close.
Sunroof went all the way to close but backed open a few inches. I tried again and it did the same. I tried "manual" close it little by little and it closed completely. Looks like it's the feature that if inside is too hot, it will not close completely unless I force it to.
A few minutes later it stopped doing that.
Is it normal?

It sounds like your sunroof was out-of-sync. The owner's manual has a procedure to remedy this but it sounds like it fixed itself. The same might happen to your windows.

Thanks for the reply. I will check my owner's manual. As long as it's that easy to re-sync, I am happy.
Yesterday was the only time I parked the car under hot sun for a few hours. that was why I though it is the feature.

My wife's car has had the same issue for a while now. Opens fine, but auto closing does not work. It just moves about an inch at a time until closed.
I did the re-synch when the problem appeared, but to no avail. Did some more research and found that there were some other, too, who had similar issues and that some of them were remedied by some kind of software update at the dealer.
Since I tend to try to stay as far away from the dealers as possible, I haven't checked into that yet. Annoying problem, but not such a big deal that it would make a trip to a dealer worthwhile...

Means that perhaps the sunroof tracks need to be cleaned and lubricated. The motor has a feedback sensor where it detects excessive resistance upon closing (like if somone's hand was caught) and backs open as a safety measure. The windows are the same way, and can be re-synched to operate normally.
Periodic sunroof maintenance is one of the most forgotten items, in my V12 the runners and rails had to be replaced, an expen$ive proposition. Especially in climates with lots of sunshine, the lubrication in the tracks evaporates or hardens, causing the mechanism to be forced excessively.
