Hood opens very difficult

Hood opens very difficult
Hello all,
I have a 2012 c-class facelift. The last couple of weeks I have noticed that the hood opens very difficult. This is what happens:
- I pull the release in the car
- you hear the sound of it opening, but it doesn't jump to open. It only opens a bit (+/- 1 cm instead of the normal 3 or 4 cm)
- I jiggle with the hood a bit (very gently) and than it jumps open fully
- I pull the thing in the middle to open the hood all the way
I sprayed some white grease on the two 'things' (I don't know what they are called, the hinges I think you call them, at the left and right) but that only works for a day. Than the next day it refuses to open again.
Anyone have a thought?
