Tape it off, spray a thin coat. Tape it again; spray another coat. Repeat as necessary. The key is to remove the tape while the PlastiDip is wet. Otherwise it will lift off with the tape when it dries to the tape. Very simple to do.

I recently debated doing this myself. The problem with plastidip is you're stuck with a matt only type of finish. If that is what you want, cool...however I wanted to match it with the pano roof so I decided to go vinyl.

Thanks guys, I will use you tip OCDbenz. Just another question, what angles and how long did you wait between coats. edgalang your car looks amazing what kind of rims did you have before you upgraded? I want to have a matte finish because I do not have a panoramic roof on my car.

Sprayed about 10-12 inches away; very light first coat, then thicker subsequent coats. Remove the tape immediately (important) and re-tape it and respray it in just a few minutes. I did about 4 or 5 coats in 15 or 20 minutes. Last great and I don't have a single chip on it and that includes 20+ miles of highway driving every day. Oh, and don't worry about overspray - a wipe with a microfiber towel takes it right off. PlastiDip is like magic!
