I was in to voluntarily replace my tail lamp wiring in advance of a possible recall. While in the service lane, I heard (for the first time) a slight high-pitch squeak/squeal as the steering wheel was tugged slightly off-center in either direction. SA heard it too and brought it around to the shop for the tech to listen. By then, it was gone. But, the tech said the description fit a deteriorating steering module, and that they had some MLs do this, but when much newer. Anyone ever hear of this or know more about it? SA's advice was to monitor for recurrence or worsening, which makes sense for now.
