C280 - W204 Overheating

When I started my car this afternoon, outside temperature was 35c or more,
the AC didn't work as usual. All I had was hot air even when switched to 16c !
I had to switch it off and own the windows. Then I noticed the thermometer icon in the center
Display coming on and off and the car temperature was increasing (the gauge goes up
Then drops a bit and then up again). It took 15 minutes to reach the red zone.

I didn't get a low level coolant warning and the engine belt is in place !
The radiator fan is not working.

Anyone had seen this before ? Is there a relation between the fan and that the
AC is not working ?

Thank you

Yes, no fan no cooling for engine or a/c. You will find at speed both will work fine, be very careful not to overheat engine!

So if the radiator fan is down, the engine electronics
Will shut down the AC to keep the engine from
Overheating . I guessed that was the case.
That Electric fan must have a fuse or a relay.
Where is it ?
There are 5 or more fuses marked "Engine Electronics" that I will need to check.
