2010 C300 iPod Connector
All,
My 2010 C300 has the audio interface that mounts inside the glove box with options to connect audio sources via 3.5mm (AUX), USB or iPod connector.
My iPod connector is shot. Understandably, MB won't cover it under warranty. But they want upwards of $900 to replace the entire interface. HAAA!
I pulled the box, opened it up and noticed that the iPod connector cable simply passes through the box and runs out the back of the glove box. I spoke with a car audio installer at my local Best Buy who indicated that this cable can be purchased online, and installed fairly easily.
Has anyone done this replacement? Can you make recommendations where to purchase?
Thank you, in advance.
Mike

If you're just looking for the Ipod cable itself you can pick yourself up one of these like I did. The nice thing is that this allows charging of the Iphone4/4s where the OEM didn't due to lack of pins.

It looks like my interface might be a little different than yours. I will attempt to attach an image later this evening.
I appreciate the reply.

The attached is a photo of the interface in my car. The two connections you see are hard wired. I should note that the iPod connection shown is supposed to have a white plastic cover around it. That cover broke off which was the start of my problems.
