ESC Inoperative after leaving the sunroof open during rain

I have a mercedes 2010 C300 and i left the sunroof open during rain I left my car out in the sun now for two days and everything is dry. Also all the eletronics are working fine BUT today while driving I got the message "ESC Inoperative see owners manual". I stopped immediately and turned the car off. After starting over again the message went away. Is this something related to the water? Is there a way that I can check error codes?

Did your rain sensor not activate closing sunroof and windows? I though that this supposed to happen once rain detected.
