4Matic or not doesnt matter, they utilize the same wheel arches and hub fitment as 2WD cars, I hevnt seen ET45 on a 10" wheel in reallife, but Ive seen several pictures on different cars and I think that they are protruding too much, it looks like they fit really bad.

Do you think it would look nice? I know its all preference and I can live with a little bit of protrusion but I don't want too much.
you want to make sure that since your car is a 4 matic

that the overall diameter of the wheel and tire are within 3% of each other front and rear

What are specs for the front

and i will tell you what you can run for the rear

that are all season tires since you drive in the snow.

Try find some 20s with proper fitment then, I really cannot understand why some manufacturers are so stubborn to use ET45 for rear wheels.

I know...
Unless you go 3 piece and put like 7 grand into your rims BEFORE painting/shipping/TPMS/tires...
AKA I would've bought an S-Class if I had that kind of money!

But I am just being stubborn because their are a few 2 and 3 piece rims out there for a decent price... But I am picky!
... Time to start saving!

If you're worried about rubbing, you can always do a slight stretch on your tires. 225/35 and 255/30 is what I ran.

I bought 19's and immediately wished I bought 20's. I currently run Pirelli P-Zeros, Lowered on Eibachs, with Mandrus Stutgarts.

20x8.5 ET42 245/30-20
20x10 ET53 285/25-20

No rubbing.

I used to rub with 225/35-20 in the front.

No wonder you were rubbing with 225/35x20, they are 5% larger than stock, you should've gone for 225/30 or 235/30.
