I have an 08 c300 with led side markers. My left marker was damaged and needed to be replaced. I swapped it out with a new lense/led but the light is still not working. Checked the voltage on both th light and output and both seem ok. The new light came on once for a few seconds then flashed 3 times and went off. Dash still shows check left side marker. Any one know what the problem could be?

Try swapping the bulb around. Polarity matters.

Did you try power cycling the vehicle? If you have the bulb plugged in with the wrong polarity and a feedback check happens to be performed, your vehicle will register the bulb as a dead bulb and cut power to the socket (as there's no need to continue feeding power to a dead bulb). All you have to do to re-engage the socket is turn the engine on and off. Procedure should then be, plug bulb in, turn on. If wrong polarity, turn off, flip bulb, turn engine on and off, turn on light.
