The part numbers for the C63 brackets are in the OP. The finned part of the C63 diffuser extends underneath the vehicle further than the non-C63 diffuser, and the brackets are longer to account for this.

I recall this specifically because I drove around without brackets for several weeks because the original brackets did not fit, and I had to wait for C63 brackets to come in from Germany.

I have been doing a little research on the removal of the stock diffuser and have drilled out the two rivets, removed the two torn bolts as well as the hex bolts from the brackets. I am unable get any of the clips to budge. Is there a trick to unclipping the clips that hold the diffuser to the bumper? I am stumped.

Hey Jared I have a 2012 C300, I am working on the same mod now. My diffuser is a carbon fiber one from eBay. No pre drilled holes and I had to use a heat gun to bend the tabs a little.

The original brackets definitely will not fit back on. Do you know where to order them online? Brackets alone? Most of the pics of brackets I have seen were riveted in. Mine hangs over the bottom edge of the diffuser where there are 2 small tabs and goes all the way up over the top tab.

:confused:confused

You can phone up your dealership and ask for parts and order them, that's what I did. There is also websites you can find that will sell you parts in the US, you just enter the part numbers. Just google Mercedes Online Parts. The part numbers are in the first post.

Those are likely the brackets for the pre-facelift C63. The facelift C63 brackets look much different.

Hey guys, I know this is an old thread but I just received the rear diffuser and the correct brackets. The brackets have a hole on the lower end of it and I'm wondering if I need a pair of screws and nuts to attach these brackets to the body of the car. I haven't taken off the old diffuser to see if the holes on the brackets match up with any holes on the body for them to be useful.

So basically, I'm asking, if the brackets are used to clip behind the diffuser and hold the bumper between the bracket and diffuser, without the use of any screws on the bracket?
