C300 Ambient Air Sensor Location

Hello,

I have a 2008 C300 4-Matic Sport. We had some bad flooding here the other day, and girlfriend drove through some high waters. Since then, had a CEL come on with P0071 - Plausibility error between signal of temperature sensor in intake pipe and signal of outside temperature sensor.

I'd like to check the outside ambient air temperature sensor, but have been unable to locate it. I've removed both of the fog light trim pieces and looked behind them, but can't seem to find it.

Google shows me what the part looks like - does anyone know which side I might find this sensor on, or have a link for information on how to repair it?

Thanks in advance!

Dealer parts said it should be in the front grill, but I have inspected each individual opening and don't see where it would be located.
