i felt like i was in the same situation when i bought my benz. i feel like its trail and error with the silver. I blacked out all the chrome, my grill and side marker lights. also outlined the tail lights.

I'm looking to upgrade my side markers to clear, and have Morimoto H7 HID's on the way along with amber LED's for the turn signals. I'm running Breyton GTS-AV's in 18", changed the entire look of the car IMO. Mine is Palladium silver, hope this helps giving you an idea.
