Remove front license plate or leave it on?

Debating whether to remove my front license plate on my C350. I live in Southern California and was wondering if anyone had any problems with being pulled over and if it's worth taking the risk..

I never got pulled over for no front plate, but I did get a ticket while parked in the garage at LAX. You may also find that the front plate holder is screwed into the front facia, which leaves a few holes when removed.

The four holes are minor, and they're evenly placed so it doesn't look bad. I also have a black car so it's barely noticeable. They were white and protruding when I took off my plate, I striped them down a little and used touch up to help it blend in. You probably wouldn't even notice unless you were looking for it.

I'm taking mine off later (I still have some junky carmax thing on the front), I'll see how it looks. Also, I think you can get plugs (maybe?) and paint those in the oem color and fill them.
