Direct 12V power for DVR Camera System
Hi Guys,
I bought a Dual Lenses camera car DVR system after watching all those horrible crashes in Russia from their on board camera.
I already have it mounted the front and rear camera, but it's running on the 12V power from cigarette lighter port and it doesn't look clean. I bought the direct 12V cable and planned to draw the power directly from one of the "unused" slot on circuit board. After an hour of looking for the circuit box under the driver and front passenger side, I can't and don't see it anywhere.
I remember seeing some post where one tab into rearview mirror for the power to run their radar detector, which looks nice and clean.
Can someone please tell me if I do this with 2008-W204?
If not, other than direct battery connection, where else can I get power from? Thank.
*note - you can use the rear camera as a backup camera system too
