Headlight cover restoration

Im seeing a little pitting , hazing on the headlight cover of my C 250 . mainly only towards the center. Its not bad at this time but does feel rough to the touch.

Any recommendations on restoration kits or product? What is the best product to use to seal the plastic after polishing?

Thanks

I use Opti Lens after polishing. I use 3m headlight restoration kit to sand, polish and buff the headlight, then i clean it with alcohol and use the opti lens as per the instructions and have had excellent results. did my uncle's car over a year ago and it's still looks brand new.

If it feels rough, have you tried claying them? If you've done that already then maybe try a polish like Meguiar's Plastx or a compound before you start sanding them. I typically only sand headlights if they are oxidized because you remove the factory UV coating and will need to apply a new one such as opti-lens.

Thanks for the replies.

The cover was rough but not yellow. I did buy a Rain X Restore kit for about 12.00 at Auto Zone and I ended up only using the paste polish on a micro fiber cloth. It smoothed out the lens and really made it clear up. I then used the sealer that is also in the kit.

There are sanding pads and a lube in the kit for covers that need more agressive restoration.

The kit provides plenty of the sealer so Ill continue to use it every monyh or so after a wash to help keep the lens clear.

Thanks again everyone
