AMG license plate on C350
Do you guys think it's poser-ish to have an AMG license plate on a white C350 (non-amg) or would it be acceptable?

MBWorld Fanatic!
If you like it, I think it would look just fine. I only consider people who slap the AMG badge on the right rear trunk lid to be posing.
I did see a nice C230 Kompressor the other day with a really sweet mis-aligned AMG badge centered over the "Kompressor" badge...looked really awesome....

In my view, off limits are the AMG rear badge, and 6.3L badges. I want to replace my current license plate frame from the one my dealer slapped on there, but I don't think I would get the AMG one, even thought I wouldn't particularly care if someone else chose it.

Explain that to MB haha. I have a c350 with amg package and my floormats say ///AMG and also my wheels STOCK. No I don't rock the badge (putting the ///amg on the back is poser IMO) but I do have the cf amg plate.Yes there are aftermarket plain cf ones but as an mb owner i support MB and buy their products and like the insurance of good quality. It also looks damn good. You guys should be flattered people imitate what some of you have.

Coming from perspective as I am new to this whole MB thing, I do not see anything wrong with it. Anytime I walk through the dealership, the parts store, show room, lounge area, etc. I am inundated with "AMG" on everything everywhere. Every MB dealership offers AMG wheels, performance upgrades, body kits, etc. for almost every model as it is a way to increase revenue on their end, while increasing the drool factor on ours. I myself want to purchase the AMG kit to go along with the wheels not to be a "poser", but because I believe it will look good, which makes "me happy" and I could care less what someone else thinks as I will be paying for it.
I have had many vehicles over the years, and I have always customized them to make myself happy as it is a hobby for me. Personally as long as you don't put a "C63" badge on your car (like the person buying a V6 Mustang and then they put a GT badge on it), I would just consider the purchase of a license plate frame just that, a license plate frame.
Remember this, make yourself happy, life is short, and there are far worse things to put on YOUR CAR than a license plate frame so go for it.

And thanks for you guys' input! I appreciate it. I ended up mounting the AMG license plate despite people's negative thoughts on it. I personally think it looks great and adds a touch of style. I don't really care what people will think of it, but a part of me still wanted affirmation that I'm not crossing into poser territory--I am in no way trying to pose that my car is AMG, and will never consider putting AMG badges on my vehicle as I also agree with the majority that is where the line is drawn.
