Eyebrow Wiring Question

Installed AZN Optics LED's for my eye brows. Good, bright colour for the most part. What a painful thing to change for something so minor. I noticed a couple didn't work right away but taping the wires then turn them on. Are these really that sensitive? has anyone else experienced issues like this?

Thanks,

A.

Yea, the wiring for the lights aren't the greatest as shown by the numerous posts about melting tali light connectors. Not sure why MB cheaped out on that front. They work all the time now or you still need to tap them each time? If not then I'd just leave it alone.

did you pull the wires to get the sockets out? You might have loosened one of the wires.

I just did the install yesterday..wasn't hard, just no space. So I ended up taking the headlights off.

Yep. Pulled the wires to get them put. That may have done it but that's really the only way to get them out. Taking the headlight out is a bit much juat to change those.

I think I pulled on the wire too hard. The driver side eyebrows don't work but the passenger side does. I think I'm going to try to take the headlight off this weekend and see if I can fix it. So frustrating.

I was replacing the original bulbs with LED bulbs but right now I'm running with no bulbs.

Did you try turning the LED the other way, locking your car, unlocking, and then starting your car? I had to play with it a bit for a couple.

Same issues with mine for a while. I ended up removing the wires from the plastic housing and pinched the connectors that hold the LED in place a little closer together to assure a good connection.

FYI, Michael at AZNoptics sells quality LEDs. I've tried numerous LEDS from eBay only to have them melt and go out within a month or two. His last the longest and ships extremely fast. Anyway, per his instructions, don't press the led all the way into the socket (press it in all the way, then pull it out slightly). If pressed all the way in, the wire connector can make contact with the resistor and lead to a malfunction/melt of the circuit board.

Another tip to do was mentioned in the previous post. If the LED doesn't work, you need to clear your SAM after you switch the LED's polarity. Turn your key all the way on, then back off.

I'll give that a try. I put the original bulbs in there and they didn't work.

I bet you need to close your connectors a bit more so they grab the bulb. Use tweezers ot a piece of plastic.Poor quality from MB.
