C-Coupe 7G still shifts like Sh*t

As to be expected, the 7G gives the worst fuel economy and shifting, describing the paddle-commanded shifts as "smudging", which in TG-Speak is "like stepping in a dogpile". Here is the quote:
"The Merc has the worst economy, for which we can partly blame the automatic gearbox (a plain old torque-converter, rather than a dual-clutcher). It holds onto gears where cleverer 'boxes shift up, and even in manual mode - when you take control with flappy paddles - it doesn't like being told what to do, smudging shifts when you want a crisp change."

We can also focus on how freaking loud the VW 2.0T is when idling or how poor BMW reliability is.

Either way, I have noticed that my C250 in Sport mode behaves like my F30 328i in Comfort mode. Both are Luxury models (or Luxury Line in BMW speak). The BMW is more immediate in throttle response and much more harsh over the road. The C250 is simply quick and luxurious....but far from "sporty" in Luxury trim (with comfort suspension).
Coming from VW DSG.....I'll never drive a DSG again. YUCK.
